Last Tuesday, May 19, Athens-Clarke County voters accepted TSPLOST 2026, which means there’s another $7 million on the way to begin building the Middle Oconee Greenway. The Greenway would not have made it to the slate of transportation projects without all of you who signed our petition pushing for trail funding. Thank you!
Friends of the Greenway will be following the implementation schedule closely. Over the next few years we’ll be working on a long-term strategy to ensure the development of the Middle Oconee Greenway sooner than later. There’s nearly a 100 miles of Greenway to be built!
